The Universal Reaction Block System for Magnetic Stirrers is a solid heating-block alternative to a traditional oil bath, designed to sit on a magnetic stirrer and provide uniform, direct thermal conduction to round-bottom flasks during synthesis.
How It Works
The block accepts round plates from 135 mm to 145 mm in diameter, and an adapter plate extends compatibility to square plates with a minimum 145 mm side length, so it can be fitted to a range of existing magnetic stirrer models. Because the flask sits directly in a machined recess in the solid block rather than submerged in oil, heat is conducted directly and evenly into the reaction vessel, supporting syntheses in round flasks up to 250°C without the mess, fire risk, or clean-up associated with an open oil bath, while the stirrer beneath continues to provide uniform, constant mixing.
