The Cold Bend Testing Machine is used for bending and re-bending reinforced concrete bars, verifying the ductility of steel reinforcement without fracture, and is supplied complete with a bar puller and tool kit set.
How It Works
The specimen bar is clamped between the machine's table and a screw adjustment device, and a hydraulic ram bends the bar around a former to a set angle; the same rig can then re-bend the specimen back through a smaller angle to check for cracking, simulating the bend/re-bend behaviour reinforcement undergoes on site. The machine's transmission parts, rack and table are enclosed within protective guarding for operator safety during testing.
