The Rapid Moisture Tester from Tvet Equipments gives site and laboratory staff a fast, portable way to check the moisture content of soil, sand, and fine aggregate without an oven-drying wait.
How It Works
A weighed sample is mixed with calcium carbide inside the sealed pressure vessel; the reaction between the carbide and the sample's moisture releases acetylene gas in direct proportion to the water present, and the built-in pressure gauge reads the result straight off as a moisture percentage.
