Impellers for Overhead Stirrers are interchangeable mixing heads that fit onto an overhead stirrer shaft, letting the same stirrer be configured with the right blade geometry for a given viscosity and mixing task.
How It Works
Each impeller type is designed for a different mixing regime. The Blade and Half-Moon Impeller suits products of average viscosity, while the Propeller-Type Impeller is intended for medium- to high-viscosity products, giving excellent mixing performance for homogenisation and suspensions. The Radial Flow Impeller is suited to average-viscosity products up to 500 mPa·s and generates a strong radial flow pattern that is particularly effective for gassing liquids. The Anchor-Type Impeller, similarly, is intended for medium- to high-viscosity mixing, using a wall-hugging geometry to keep material near the vessel walls in motion.
