The Flow Table Apparatus from Tvet Equipments determines the consistency and flow of fresh mortar, giving laboratories a standard, code-compliant way to assess workability using a brass flow table and cone-mould specimen.
How It Works
A mortar specimen is filled into a cone mould placed at the centre of the 254 mm brass flow table. The mould is removed and the table is then mechanically raised and dropped through a fixed 12.7 mm height for a set number of cycles, causing the mortar to spread outward. The increase in the specimen's diameter, measured after flow, is expressed as a percentage flow value and used as the consistency result. Both hand-operated and motorised versions are available.
