The Baroid Mud Balance from Tvet Equipments provides a simple, accurate method for determining the density of drilling mud and similar fluids in the field or laboratory, using a balanced-arm design that needs no external power source.
How It Works
A constant-volume cup is filled with the mud sample and sealed with its lid, then affixed to one end of the graduated arm, balanced against the counter-weight fixed at the opposite end. The rider is moved along the graduated, knife-edge-supported arm until the built-in spirit level shows the arm is balanced, at which point mud density is read directly from the graduated scale. The complete kit is supplied in a carrying case for field use.
