Glass Desiccators (Vacuum Type) Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : TVT-MTE-10631
The Glass Desiccator (Vacuum Type) is a sealed laboratory vessel used to keep moisture-sensitive samples dry under vacuum, protecting them from atmospheric humidity during storage or between test stages.
How It Works
A perforated ceramic or plastic plate sits above a chamber holding a desiccant such as silica gel, and the ground-glass lid seals against the base with a vacuum stopcock that allows air to be evacuated from the chamber; the resulting low-humidity, low-pressure environment keeps samples placed on the plate dry and stable for extended periods, more effectively than a standard (non-vacuum) desiccator.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does a vacuum desiccator differ from a standard one?
A vacuum desiccator has a stopcock that allows air to be evacuated from the sealed chamber, creating a lower-humidity, lower-pressure environment than a standard (non-vacuum) desiccator.
What diameters are available?
This desiccator is available in 210 mm, 240 mm, and 300 mm diameters.
What is a desiccator used for?
It is used to store moisture-sensitive samples, reagents, or prepared specimens in a dry environment between test stages.
